Diego Cibelli studied fine art in Berlin and Product design in Italy.
His early artistic research, based on a series of cultural and visual references, explored the geography of territories, their history and the sense of belonging that human beings generate by creating new living spaces. This universe is conceived as an everyday set of tangible and intangible relationships between man, art and the world.
Taking his research and work in porcelain art a step further, Cibelli has extended his questioning to the broken links between man and the natural and animal worlds. He drew inspiration, forexample, from the forms of Manierism and the Baroque, and from artists such as Bernini and Archimboldo, who pushed back the limits and boundaries that inexorably separated man from nature and animals.
Diego Cibelli's fantastic bestiary recreates this link, which is no longer imaginary.
